our trauma brains can trap us in a loop where we are constantly seeking the approval of others. how will we know we're worthy, valid, *good* if someone else doesn't tell us???? But, no one else is going to give you the validation you're seeking. This concept is an incredibly hard one for me to internalize, so I'm working on it.
Some ways I am working on liking and validating myself:
🌹 reminding myself of the things I have accomplished, even small things
🌹 meditating on the qualities I like most about myself
🌹 considering the ways in which I am actively working on myself, and remembering that engaging in that work is good and beautiful, especially when it is hard
🌹 cultivating curiosity rather than judgement around my own feelings, reactions and experiences
