Slowly, over time and plenty of therapy, I realized that I was letting my anxiety stop me from living my own life. I didn't want to wake up one day and realize I hadn't done any of the things I very much wanted to do because I was afraid. Something had to change. Using grounding, opening myself up to my feelings so I could fully experience and process them, and journaling have all helped me to re-write narratives that told me I should be afraid.
